Ecological Store

EcoIsleta is an Organic store certified by the Government of the Canary Islands, we offer Km0 products as well as bulk and bulk and ecological cleaning products.

Coliving Zero Waste

We are a Coliving Zero Waste This means that we work to reduce the generation of waste that we send to the landfill, this entails a huge amount of measures and strategies within our Coliving and in collaboration with the neighborhood where we are.

We separate our waste into 5 different containers: paper, plastic, compostable, non-compostable, and glass.
We compost within our Coliving we compost organic waste with our worm compost bin, but we also compost in community compost bins in the neighborhood of La Isleta.
We weigh all our waste, to analyze and study our Zero Waste strategy, and data that we share with the community.
We have installed a system of Osmosis for the water consumption of the colivers, we reduce plastic.
We use cleaning products BIO in bulk from our store, the cleaning and bathroom products are also organic.
We have 3 cultivation tables to plant in the house where we generate a circular circuit with our composting system and where we also have canary plants, to promote biodiversity.
In the coliving, you can find empty containers to be able to buy in our store in bulk.
Some of our dinners are vegan encouraging our colivers to consume less meat.

Local Impact

We strive to produce a positive impact in our neighborhood, this is perhaps one of our most important characteristics.

We collaborate with different NGOs and neighborhood associations as well as educational centers for regeneration and sustainability.
We conducted visits to a high school to explain and talk to students about what this remote work revolution means.
We are involved in a community and neighborhood and neighborhood project to compost in all the schools in the neighborhood.
We make tours the volcanoes and the Natural Landscape near the Coliving to explain the natural values of La Isleta.
EcoIsleta has signed and is part of the Agenda 2030 for Gran Canaria, participating in the territorialization commission.

Reduces and repairs

All of our furniture, except for the chairs, has been hand-built by handmade, which allows us to which allows us to repair almost everything in-house.
We have tools of all kinds in the house, to repair almost everything.
You don't need a car in our coliving, you can do it all on foot, plus the public transportation systems to visit the island, pass very close to the house.
We have solar panels to produce 40% of our energy.

Community

The future depends on communities that are able to face future challenges, such as loneliness in cities, the need to share resources, or the near-obligation to collaborate to solve many sustainable challenges.

We are a Sustainable Coliving open to remote workers and neighbors, our goal of connecting remote workers with the local community, has led us to hold weekly dinners to which the neighbors of the neighborhood are invited.
We also do Canarian cooking workshops where remote workers can learn and get closer to our identity and culture.
